Ph.D. Candidate in Development Economics
Presently a Short Term Consultant at the World Bank and a Ph.D. Candidate at the Development Economics Group from the School of Business and Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. My previous work experience in Colombia focused on the collection and analysis of administrative data, and the design of indexes for public policy evaluation. In my graduate studies, I gained expertise in poverty and nutrition mapping, using small area estimation and machine learning tools. Also, I studied in detail the existence of trade-offs among the socioeconomic and environmental Sustainable Development Goals related to Food Security. Parallel to the PhD, I also worked with/for NGOs, Government Agencies and International Multilateral Organizations. My main interests focused on the fields of Development, Environmental and Agricultural Economics.
